Packing is a process that requires a lot of preparation and it pays to get ready weeks in advance. You need to prepare everything you might need before the moving day like boxes, tape, bubble wrap, and more.

One of the most important things that you need is packing supplies. There are some types of packing supplies that are used in different ways, so it is important to have them all. This article will provide tips on what type of packing supplies you must have for your next move.

  1. Paper Packing Supplies: Paper is essential for packing. You should have the following types of paper: bubble wrap, tissue paper, and old newspapers to create balls to pack items into boxes.
  1. Tape Supplies: You should have a roll of strong packing tape to seal the boxes. There are different types out there so make sure you get packing tapes which stick firmly.
  1. Boxes: These are essential because they allow you to pack your belongings securely while safely transporting everything. You should invest in at least three sturdy boxes for each room (it can vary depending on the size of the room) of your home when you are packing in order to protect fragile items or breakable pieces of furniture. You can also use cardboard boxes that have been flattened and covered with a thin layer of foam padding, which can be placed over delicate objects before sliding them into the box.
  1. Plastic Wrap & Wax Paper: Plastic wrap can be used in order to cover fragile items, such as vases and picture frames, before packing them in the box. You can also use wax paper to protect delicate furniture from scuffs and stains before putting them inside the box.
  1. Bubble Wrap is a great tool for protecting breakable items while they are being transported during your move. These foam sheets will expand when blown up, making it easy to pack fragile items such as paintings without worrying about their safety during transport.
  1. Extra covering & padding: You can use packing blankets, sheets, and toilet paper rolls to make padding for fragile items like vases or picture frames before they go in the box.
